It’s Inkpril (Part 16)

Hello everybody! I hope I find you in great state of body and mind 🙂

I haven’t been too regular with my drawing(as maybe you can see here), but recently a friend of mine challenged me to do last year’s Inktober now. So here are the first two days:

I really like the results from drawing with an ink pen(I got myself some Pigma Micron pens and a paint brush). So basically this will be drawing and experimenting month 🙂

Keep on drawing!

Let’s reboot that hobby (Part 015)

Hello everybody!

I hope this post finds you in a good place and in a good mood.

As for me – I had a real awful start of the year, but for the last several days am trying to get my act together. For now – small steps before running. So here are some drawings:

I will continue trying to draw/doodle daily(I have managed to do that for 4 days in a row – I haven’t taken a photo of everything). I also am starting to consider taking a drawing course somewhere, but all with its time.

Be happy and keep on drawing 🙂

The end of an abysmal year

Hello everybody! I hope you are doing great!

Looking back this year started bad and near the end has gotten even worse. Unfortunately the worst problems were health related. For the lesser evils of the year some steps to resolve them were taken.

On the good side – I have met some fantastic people, that helped me through this hell. Also I have managed to lose around 8 kilograms(17.5 pounds) and do almost regularly some exercises(push-up, crunches etc.) since October – I really feel better and like the changes to my body. Oh and the drawing – I haven’t draw regularly for 2 months, but this is changing, thanks to a needed several day break in solitude.

So, what is planed and wished for next year:

– keeping on losing weight and doing exercises regularly(come on, I will spend 15-20 minutes for something healthy);

– continue to eat a lot more fruits and vegetables – why was I skipping those all this time?

– start to draw daily again;

– start to play the guitar again – I will see my former teacher after New Year’s Eve;

– get promoted – I’m changing the project at work, because the current one is a total disaster. It is the main reason I stopped drawing and made me a lot more miserable. So new project, new challenges, new colleagues and a new chance for higher position.

– finish and move to my own apartment – I have to wait till the end of summer for the building to be finished and I will try to move there before the end of the year.

– start dating a girl I’ve met this summer – she’s… well… great – I can’t describe people. Let’s see where this path will lead me to.

I think, that the list isn’t unrealistic, so it all depends on me.

Good luck during the new year and see you soon 🙂

Of apples and mountains (Part 013)

Hello everybody!

It has been a month since my last post. It was a strange period, during which I didn’t want to do literally anything. It took me 1-2 weeks to get over this. At the beginning I started only reading and eventually returned to drawing.

I have a goal to draw regularly(at least 3-4 times per week) for the next 3-4 months and if I do that I’ll buy a tablet monitor. Will see how this goes.

Keep on drawing!

A sneaker and a sword (Part 011)

Hello everybody! I hope you are all doing well.

Some time has passed since my last post and long story short – I wasn’t(and somewhat still am not) in a good state of mind. I just do not want to see or talk to anybody. It’s been like this for week or two, but things started to improve.

So I (re)started this Udemy course and I like it so far. I think, that I will start to post more regularly, because I now have a path to follow.

As usual – have fun and keep on drawing 🙂

What to do? What to do? (Part 010)

Hello everybody!

It has been a strange week. Apart from work problems, I haven’t decided where to go next. The short version is – I tried to start again The Ultimate Drawing Course, but then got distracted by How to Draw: Drawing and Sketching Objects and Environments and the final nail was, that some markers came in today and I’ve played some time with them.

On the bright side – I have been drawing every single day for more than a week now 🙂

Keep on drawing 🙂

The first step was made (Part 009)

Hello everybody!

It has been almost 2 months since I started this challenge. I am kind of sad, that I’ve reached the end of the You can draw in 30 days book. It’s been a great journey and the first step for me into the world of drawing. Here are the last drawings I did:

Have I somewhat progressed? Definitely! Have I reached, what I wanted? Definitely not. This was, is and will be only the first step of this journey. I know I have a long way to go, but I am a step closer.

Tomorrow is Saturday and I’ll have to decide where to go next. I have several books about drawing and some Udemy courses, so there are options.

Thank you for being part of my journey and hope these posts motivate someone to start doing what they like.

Keep on drawing and doing what you like 🙂

Perspectives and a castle (Part 008)

Hello everybody!

I hope you had a fantastic week. Another small update from me. This week was all about perspective. Apart from that – I drew couple of times while waiting for the bus(10-15 minutes… public transport here is abysmal). Won’t add those scribbles here, but it was a fun way to pass the time.

As always – have fun and keep on drawing 🙂
